The Prince Sultan Civilization Center signed a contract recently to provide land for a new French school at its multibillion-riyal mixed-use complex in Jeddah.
Mohammed bin Abdul Kader Al-Fadl, chairman of the center’s board, signed the agreement with Marie-Claude Abu Fadil, chairperson of the school’s board, at the French Consulate.
Among those present at the signing included Ahmed Sanusi, chief executive officer of the Prince Sultan center, and Louis Blin, the French consul general.
Al-Fadl said the center wants to attract the best education institutions worldwide.
The entire project will cost an estimated SR6 billion and create jobs for 5,000 Saudis. Spread over 2 million sq. meters near King Abdullah Sports City in the north of Jeddah, the complex will includes an arts and exhibition center.
The project will have a medical college and hospital with 920 beds consisting of cardiac, oncology and neurology treatment. It will also have a residential complex, shopping mall, markets and hotels.
