RIYADH: The eight-week long RCL MoneyGram Cricket ke Badshah Twenty20 Cricket Tournament reached its final stage where Mehran will cross swords with Pakhtoon Khawa.
In the semifinals, Mehran got the better of Ever Green by 29 runs while in the other encounter Pakhtoon Khawa routed Super Cricket Club by nine wickets in the Riyadh Cricket League-organized tournament held under the guidance of the Saudi Cricket Center.
Mehran set a target of 183 runs for Ever Green. After some early success by the rival bowlers Faheem Shah steadied the rocking boat and scored a responsible innings of 83 runs.
In the middle order Assad Khan played an excellent inning of 51 runs, which helped Mehran post a reasonable total. Fayyaz bowled well and claimed 4 wickets while Amjad took 3.
In reply Ever Green could muster only 153 runs. Rizwan (34), Taj Khan (28), Azhar (19) and Mudassar (15) put up some fight. Assad Khan and Ibrahim took 3 wickets each.
Man-of-the-Match: Assad Khan.
In the second semis, Super batted first and put on board 184 runs. Rashid Mirza played an excellent inning of 73 runs. He was supported by Noman (24) and Shafeeq (34). Rana Munir took 2 wickets. In reply Pakhtoon achieved the target after 19.1 overs. Yousuf Haroon scored an unbeaten match winning innings of 104 runs with the help of 13 boundaries. He was supported by Kashif (43) and Arshad (21). The Super bowlers failed to make an impression on Pakhtoon batsmen as they eased to victory.

In the quarterfinals played earlier, Super beat Game Pro CC by 14 runs, Ever Green beat NAB by five wickets, Pakhtoon Khawah got the better of Mughal by 14 runs and Mehran ousted Samarwa by 99 runs.
