The Asir region municipality has finished the arrangements for the hosting of the launching ceremony of the Saudi summer events program.
The program, organized by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), will be held in Abha for the first time.
Abha’s acting mayor Ali Husniyah said the The Abha walkway was renovated to receive guests on Wednesday. He said municipality had decided to add green areas and decorate trees with lighting rods, allocate sites for rallies, businessmen and media personnel. “Graphics and paintings were drawn at the site and security was stationed until the completion of the ceremony,” he added.
Director General of the of the SCTA’s Asir branch, Mohamed Al-Umrah praised the role of the Asir municipality, confirming that it is a key partner in this activity.
He said completion of the preparations for the celebration, adding that the carnival participants and associated performances are ready, alongside the activities of other regions.
