Lising leads Micah’s Pride to back-to-back titles in FEDBG-FMBL

Melvin Lising delivered on his promise of another title for Micah’s Pride shooting a superb scratch game of 254 that, along with cohesive teamwork, confounded Pin Rockers in their championship match at the conclusion of Filipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Group Friday Morning Bowling League 14th Conference at the Bowling City here.
Micah’s Pride was paced by Oca Bernabe who struggled finding his track against Cesar Monares who placed Pin Rockers at 193-129 advantage.
But this scenario did not affect Micah’s Pride’s teamwork as the team captain and manager Ester Santoc, Rey Feliciano, Renato Gonzales, Rolly Vistal and Lising ferociously battled Minda Guevarra, Romy Bunagan, Archie Santos, Kaleem Salim and team chief Rudy Valenzuela. Totals of Santoc versus Guevara, Gonzales against Santos submitted close finishes at 193-190 and 198-187 and that of Bernabe and Monares, Micah’s Pride was disadvantaged at 520-570.
But Feliciano and Vistal operated well against Bunagan and Salim at 220-173 and 225-204, and Lising outbowled Valenzuela at 262-189 with handicap as Micah’s Pride took home championship in back-to-back fashion totals of of 1227-1136. Lising was the Most Valuable Bowler of this final match.
Final rankings: Micah’s Pride champion, Pin Rockers 1st runner-up, Ekis-5 2nd runner-up, Pin Crushers 3rd runner-up, BCT Mongoose 4th runner-up ru and Shawly Bowlers 5th runner-up. Claiming consolation prizes were TC Incorporated, Taurus, Lane Trackers and Falcon Bowlers.
