What is wrong with Nilofar Suhrawardy? In her article of June 14 titled “Modi’s eerie silence over Pune murder,” she has criticized the newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I believe her criticism of Modi is unwarranted and uncalled for. Does she expect the prime minister of the country to tweet about every single incident taking place in the country? I urge all such writers and analysts to just give him some time. I may sound like a Modi supporter but the reality is otherwise. OK, we opposed him tooth and nail before elections. Now, he is our leader.
We should wait and watch. Instead of hurling stones at him, these experts should make suggestions to make India a better place to live. This approach will not help anyone. I do condemn the killing of the Pune techie but let the law take its own course. A premier is not supposed to interfere in every case. We should give Modi some time to assess his performance. — Ahmed Ali, By e-mail
