Lorde’s parents engaged, at last

LOS ANGELES: They’ve been together for three decades, but Lorde’s Parents are finally tying the knot.
The Grammy winner, born Ella Yelich-O’Connor, tweeted on Monday that her dad, Vic O’Connor, had just proposed to her mother, Sonja Yelich.
“BEST DAY — went to niagara falls — my dad proposed to my mom after almost 30 years together,” the singer tweeted.
She also posted a bunch of emojis of a diamond ring, smiling faces and hearts.
In her hit song “Royals,” Lorde sings that she’s “never seen a diamond in the flesh.” Before fans could send their jokes about the coincidence, she tweeted “inevitable response yes i know i have seen a diamond now.”
