Tawuniya, King Faisal Specialist Hospital hold blood drive

The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) recently conducted a blood donation campaign in cooperation with King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre. The campaign took place from May 16-18 at Tawuniya’s head office in Riyadh.
Many Tawuniya employees participated throughout the three days of the blood donation drive. So successful was the campaign that it exceeded the expectations of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital’s medical team.
The blood donation initiative is part of Tawuniya’s corporate social responsibility program aiming at promoting health and wellness in Saudi society and providing support to patients being treated at the hospital.
Majed A. Al-Bahiti, marketing general manager of Tawuniya, said: “The participation of Tawuniya’s employees in this significant campaign conveys a humanitarian message to the patients and society. Driven by the strategy developed by Tawuniya with respect to social responsibility, we strive, through such initiatives, to maximize our efforts in voluntary work in order to contribute to the development of our society and enhance its human capacities,” he said.
Al-Bahiti recognized the important role played by King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in the campaign and thanked its staff for their participation.
The blood donation campaign is in line with the company’s objectives, which include supporting health care and promoting wellness and safety concepts in society.
