DUBAI: An eight-year-old boy in the UAE was given a surprise this week when Dubai Police gave him his very own tailored police uniform.
Eisa Ali Al-Beloushi tweeted at Dubai Police last week and asked them to provide his son Abdullah with a police outfit to go with his military uniform.
“I have a request my father. I have many uniforms but I need to have Dubai Police uniform,” Abdullah said in a video attached to the tweet.
The boy, who is based in the state of Ras Al-Khaimah, was visited by a tailor and was then asked to visit the Dubai Police headquarters this week in order to receive the mini uniform.
Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Merri welcomed the boy and gifted him the uniform.
“Maj Gen. Al-Merri ordered us to make the wish of Abdullah come true and we contacted him and took his measurements and prepared the official uniform for him and gave him a first lieutenant rank. It is part of our strategy to spread happiness in society, especially for our children,” Amna Al-Banna, director of Social Media Networks Department, said.
