JEDDAH: Jeddah Blazers of Playing Coach Gabs Khalid Villanueva beat Robert & Friends 112-91 in the Titan Watch-JBL Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Nazeeh and Wartah Park court in Khalidia district. Jeddah Blazers outside shots were unstoppable in the final quarter. Robert & Friends ran out of steam in the crucial minutes of the game.
Gandaroza top-scored with 20 points for Jeddah Blazers and was adjudged as the Titan Watch best player of the game, while Cabael scored 28 points for Robert & Friends.
The tournament is principally sponsored by Titan Watch of Al Hussaini & Al Yahya Investment Group (Othman Al-Husssaini). Giordano Fashions (Ahmadullah) and KGT Kabayan Gents Tailoring are co-sponsors.
Brawlers of Coach Ryan Japson defeated Sunbulah 103-84. Brawlers ran their offense well the whole game. Niala chipped in 27 points for Brawlers and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game. Fuentes collected 36 points for Sunbulah.
BHBC beat Jeddah Engineers 87-77 in the 40 and Above Division. BHBC repeatedly found the open man in its solid offense. Linsangan scored 22 points for BHBC and was adjudged as JBL best player of the game while Cortez led Jeddah Engineers with 19 points.
In the Parents Division, Bagwis Red of Coach Rey Madattu defeated Siglahi Blue 112-86. Lisztian Amparado top-scored with 41 points and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game. Yellow of Coach Cruz beat Red 66-53 in the Mosquito Division. CJ Monteroyo scored 25 points for Yellow while Hamza Suyat had 21 points for Red.
JBL Teens IPSJ defeated JBL Bader 92-82. Both teams played well the whole game. JBL Bader ran out of ideas while JBL Teens IPSJ continued to attack the basket. Michael Maddatu led JBL Teens IPSJ with 18 points and was named Titan Watch best player of the game, while Francisco and Manse each had 19 points for JBL Teens Bader.
