JEDDAH: Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday sent cables of congratulations to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on the anniversary of his country’s reunification, SPA reported.

They wished the German leader good health and his government and people steady progress and prosperity.

Saudi Arabia and Germany enjoy strong ties that are steadily growing in all spheres of life. The ongoing implementation of Saudi Vision 2030 has given a new impetus to these ties. 

Germany is a key trading partner and anchor investor in the Kingdom. About 800 German companies are permanently engaged in Saudi Arabia, employing about 40,000 citizens of the Kingdom. 

Large German investors and employers include businesses from the logistics sector, such as DHL, S.A. Talke and DB Schenker, as well as industry and manufacturing, including Siemens, MAN, Linde, Liebherr, BASF, Fuchs and Henkel.
