Middle Eastern designers proved popular on the red carpet at last month’s Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. Relative newcomer to the scene Rani Zakhem — Lebanon’s latest fashion star — dressed executive producer of “WandaVision” Jac Schaeffer in a floral gown, and TV news personality Hall in this sparkling grey jumpsuit with split legs and plunging neckline.
Beirut-based duo Azzi & Osta also made a double appearance at the Emmys, with dancer Kylie Marie Jefferson sporting one of their structured grey ensembles before 61-year-old actress Allison Janney wowed the crowds in this sophisticated all-white gown from Azzi & Osta’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
The 22-year-old Moroccan-Italian model is one of fashion’s hottest properties at the moment, and was in high demand during September’s Fashion Week season, walking for several huge brands in London, New York, Paris and Milan. For Missoni in the latter, she showed off the brand’s signature print in this patchwork, halter-neck dress in sober shades.
The Norwegian model dazzled the red-carpet paparazzi several times at the 78th Venice International Film Festival, none more so than in this long, silver, fully beaded gown with side slit by Lebanese legend Zuhair Murad for the premiere of David Gordon Green’s “Halloween Kills.”
The Saudi-based Lebanese influencer hit the streets of Paris during the city’s fashion week and looked like she could have been on the catwalk herself in this black-and-green ensemble from the Italian label Bottega Veneta. Fanj paired her outfit with an of-the-moment bright green bag from Hermes.
