RIYADH: Companies have until Sept. 18 to bid for the Saudi Water Partnership Co.’s contract to develop Rabigh 4 independent water project, MEED reported.
On June 16, SWPC invited bids for the project, which will reportedly have a design capacity of 600,000 cubic meters a day.
The report further noted that SWPC will shortlist the bidders by Nov. 30, and the project’s final closure is expected by March 2023.
Some of the firms that are pre-qualified for the bid are ACWA Power, Spain’s Acciona Agua and Ajlan & Brothers Energy Company Consortium, Spain’s Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios, Japan’s Marubeni Corporation, France’s Veolia Middle East, a consortium between UAE’s Utico, Saudi Arabia’s Mowah Co., and Chinese Railway Construction Corp.
