RIYADH: The Saudi national swimming team has traveled to the Azerbaijani capital Baku to take part in a training camp that will run until Aug. 15. The trip is part of preparations for the team’s participation in the Arab Age Group Championship and the fifth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games.
The games brings together athletes from member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The Islamic Solidarity Games is a multinational, multi-sport event under the aegis of the Islamic Solidarity Games Federation.
The participating countries are Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Bahrain, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Palestine, Kuwait, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Oman, Morocco, Uzbekistan, Senegal, Tunisia, Guinea, Congo, Jordan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Somalia.
