Ahli and Najma gain ground: King’s Cup

JEDDAH, 25 November - Al-Ahli maintained their superiority over Al-Shabab by beating them 2-1 and secured third position with 19 points in the King’s Cup soccer leagure match played in Jeddah, writes Hassan Adaw.

Four teams played their matches yesterday in the eighth round. Muhammad Sheliya and Waleed Al-Jizani scored for Al-Ahli in the 54th and 81st minutes of the second half. The consolaton goal for Al-Shabab was scored by Abdul Rahman Al-Asfour at 56th minute.

In Unaizah, Al-Najma defeated Al-Taei 2-1. Al-Najma’s first goal was the contribution of Kawaki at the 55th minute while the second came from the leg of Ahmad Al-Harbi at the 86th minute.
