SR8m for maintenance of holy sites

MAKKAH, 11 December — Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Muhammad Al-Jarallah signed a contract worth SR8 million for maintaining flyovers and tunnels in Makkah and the holy ritual sites with a private company yesterday. Makkah Mayor Khaled ibn Hamzah Nahhas said the implementation of the contract would take 36 months. There are 54 tunnels in Makkah for cars and pedestrians with a total length of 30 kilometers. (SPA)
