RIYADH, 15 December 2002 — The World Assembly of the Muslim Youth (WAMY) has deplored a report carried by a newspaper which quoted a Pakistani security official as saying that the security authorities in Pakistan had recently arrested a Sudanese who was working at the office of WAMY in that country. WAMY Secretary-General Dr. Saleh Al-Waheibi said that no Sudanese works at the offices of WAMY in Pakistan and Afghanistan. He also denied that the office of WAMY in Pakistan was raided “ No office of WAMY was raided in Pakistan, Afghanistan or any other country,” he said. (SPA)
