MANAMA, 10 June 2003 — Arab foreign ministers yesterday started a two-day meeting here to discuss the US-backed road map plan for peace in the Middle East and the post-war situation in Iraq.
The Arab ministerial follow-up and steering committee is to talk about latest developments in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, international action to revive the peace process, the situation in Iraq, relations between Iraq and Kuwait and the Somali conflict, sources said. Arab League Secretary-General Amr Mousa and foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, the Palestinian Authority, Morocco, Libya, Qatar, Sudan, Tunisia and Algeria are to review suggestions on improving joint Arab action.
