JEDDAH, 9 July 2003 — Qualifying rounds of the inaugural Prince Talal ibn Mansour Tennis Cup will continue today at the Albilad Hotel.

Six winners of the matches played in the rounds on Monday and yesterday will vie with each other today to enable four of them join 28 others in the main draw of the tournament.

Six winners in the qualifying rounds are Jerry Diktar, Al Ijran, Anthony Pangilinan, Roland Santos, Danny Aguinaldo and Bobby Esquivel. Jerry Diktar bt Husan Salahi 6-4, 6-3; Al Ijran bt Rody Palustre 6-4, 6-3, Anthony Pangilinan bt Tischardo Ross 6-3 (Ross retired), Roland Santos bt Danny Ignacio 3-6, 6-4 (Ignacio retired), Danny Aguinaldo bt Nemie Melencio 6-4, 6-2 and Bobby Esquivel bt Fernan Viray 6-0, 6-0.

Meanwhile, the first of six singles of the tournament began late last evening. Six more singles will be played today, according to Reggie, the tournament referee.
