JEDDAH, 14 August 2003 — The Iraqi Olympic team and the Moroccan Olympic team set up a showdown in the Seventh Sadaka Soccer Tournament final on Friday with identical 4-3 victories over their respective rivals in Asir yesterday.
Both the semifinals were decided via the penalty shootouts after the teams had played out a goalless regulation 90 minutes and then the two extra sessions too proved devoid of goals.
First, the Iraqi side quelled the gritty challenge from the Syrian Olympic side, and then the Saudi Olympic team, after a display of great character, fell in the shootout against the Moroccan team.
