JEDDAH, 27 December 2003 — Hilton International has launched an exclusive package specially designed for travelers visiting Makkah. The offer includes attractive room rates valid until Jan. 11 at the Makkah Hilton & Towers. The package entitles guests visiting the holy city to a choice of accommodation at either the Makkah Hilton Hotel or the Towers, both of which are situated in front of the holy Haram. The hotel offers an attractive rate of SR400 per room per night. The offer is based on double occupancy and is inclusive of breakfast for two persons, service charge and car parking. Makkah Hilton Towers is offering rooms at SR320 for two persons per room per night. “The package gives an opportunity to guests at a time when the holy Haram is not very crowded,” said Shuja Zaidi, general manager of Makkah Hilton & Towers, which boasts 1,400 rooms and apartments. Meanwhile, Hilton International has announced the appointment and signing of a 15-year management contract to open and operate a new Hilton Hotel in Doha on behalf of New Doha Hotel Company.
