Indianinternationalweb.com is an initiative from Merchant eMedia, a company based in Dubai Media City. The website hopes to connect individuals of Indian origin, wherever they may be living. Sree Kumar, managing director, Merchant eMedia got the idea for the site after he experienced considerable difficulty while settling his son in Australia for advance studies. He thought it would be excellent to create an online venue that would offer as much information as possible about the resources available to and lifestyle of expatriate Indians in countries across the globe.

In that regard, indianinternationalweb.com has issued an open invitation for Indian expatriates to come and register at the site. It is hoped that in a short time the site will boast a versatile directory of Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and people of Indian origin. The database will be divided into several categories such as country, state, region, language, business, profession and prominence in order to enable communication and interaction amongst the global Indian community.

According to the website, apart from a standard registration with photograph, one could have a detailed full-page entry with additional photos or a personal website with more data and photos and even the facility to receive short messages. In addition to the database, the site provides news, financial and investment information, classified ads, matrimonials and listings of NRI services and organizations.
