Acer Takes Aim at Digital Imaging Technology

Acer Computer (ME) has launched its first digital cameras in the Middle East to meet the demand from consumers in the region for digital convergence technology. Acer’s three Digital Still Cameras (DSC) are aimed at people who want ease-of-use, maximum functionality and superb picture resolution. Each of the models has between five and six megapixels per inch and all are priced between 799 dirhams and 1099 dirhams.

Each camera features an optical viewfinder for the perfect shot even in bright sunlight, a built-in flash with different shooting modes to prevent red-eye and all are designed to fit comfortably in the palm of the hand. The cameras have aluminum housings and come with ArcSoft/NTI photo software.

The five megapixel Acer CR-5130 has a 1.8” CCD sensor, a 1.5” LCD TFT and a maximum resolution of 2560x1920. The ultra-slim five megapixel CS-5530 features a 2.5” LCD TFT and a maximum picture resolution of 2560x1920. Acer’s CR-6530 is a six megapixel camera with a 2.5”LCD TFT and maximum picture resolution of 2816x2122. All three models have 3x optical/4x digital combined zoom lens.
