Wade, O’Neal Star in Heat Win

TORONTO, 9 March 2005 — Dwyane Wade scored 32 points and Shaquille O’Neal added 25 to power the Miami Heat to a 108-100 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers Monday.

Despite playing for the fourth time in five nights, the Heat shot 54.9 percent from the field to win their sixth straight outing and their 10th consecutive home game.

Wade’s points included a franchise record 18 free throws as he got to the line 23 times to help Miami move 30 games over the .500 mark at 46-16.

Shandon Anderson had 13 points for the Heat while Udonis Haslem contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Allen Iverson collected 27 points for the Sixers, who lost for the first time in three games.

Samuel Dalembert, who was involved in a fourth-quarter altercation with Alonzo Mourning which resulted in the Heat center being ejected for a double technical foul, added 21 points for Philadelphia.

Mourning played only four minutes and scored one point.

Chris Webber struggled in his first game since he and O’Neal moved to the Eastern Conference, picking up 10 points in 26 minutes.

In Dallas, Marquis Daniels registered 32 points as the short-handed Mavericks beat the Toronto Raptors 113-105.

Dallas was without the injured Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Finley. Jason Terry had 23 points for the Mavs and Josh Howard chipped in with 22 points and eight rebounds.

Morris Peterson led Toronto with 23 points while Milt Palacio added 19.

In Chicago, Kirk Hinrich notched 17 points, eight assists and six rebounds to guide the Bulls to a 90-85 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Eddy Curry recorded 16 points and seven rebounds for the Bulls while Chris Duhon had 13 points and 10 assists.
