SAKAKA: The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture, known as Estidamah, in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, recently hosted a field day in the Jouf region focused on seasonal fodder.
The event, attended by local farmers and stakeholders, aimed to improve production efficiency and enhance harvesting and baling techniques to boost quality and reduce resource loss.
It featured scientific and practical presentations on cultivation methods and productivity, along with field applications, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The initiative is part of Estidamah’s fodder localization project, which seeks to develop local production, optimize supply chains, and promote sustainable farming practices.
Last month, Estidamah took part in the 13th Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition, showcasing research programs and projects focused on agricultural technology, resource efficiency, and crop productivity through field-based research.
It also highlighted initiatives in knowledge transfer, capacity building, and collaboration with local and international partners to support food security.
