Police operation in Melbourne after car struck group of people, media reports

SYDNEY: A ​police operation is underway after a car ‌struck ‌group ​of ‌people ⁠in ​Melbourne, Australian media ⁠reports said on Saturday,
The Sydney ⁠Morning ‌Herald ‌reported ​that one ‌pedestrian ‌was killed and another seriously ‌injured.
Police did not ⁠immediately respond ⁠to a request for comment.
