RIYADH: The Saudi Falcons Club has announced its 2026 events calendar, featuring a series of activities aimed at promoting national heritage and strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global falconry hub.

The calendar begins with the International Falcon Breeders Auction from Aug. 5 to 25, featuring elite breeders and local and international falcon farms, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.

It will be followed by the Saudi Falcons Club Auction for locally captured falcons from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30, aligned with the migration and capture season.

The International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition will take place at the club’s headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, from Oct. 1 to 10, covering culture, entertainment, tourism, and environmental activities.

The Melwah race will run from Oct. 4 to 9, with falconers competing for prizes and titles.

The season concludes with the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival from Nov. 17 to 30, offering prizes exceeding SR38 million ($10 million), followed by the Falcons Club Cup from Dec. 21 to 28.
