CAIRO, 15 April 2005 — Egyptian actor Mahmoud Al-Jundi and actress Abla Kamel, who have been married for two years, have divorced.
The divorce was done in complete secrecy. Both Abla and Mahmoud have refused to reveal the reasons for their sudden decision to separate.
It was rumored that Abla had been thinking of wearing the Islamic headdress Hijab once she completes the shooting of her upcoming film “Seedi Al Atifi”, in which she stars alongside Egyptian singer Tamer Husni.
Mahmoud was once accused of being secretly married for twelve years to Rasha, a wealthy and beautiful lady
The couple had lived in bliss for some time up to the point when they had their baby daughter. At this point, Rasha demanded that Mahmoud make their secret marriage public. The actor refused, causing a series of problems that led to a legal battle.
