Rat Triggers Bank Alarm

DAMMAM, 24 July 2005 — A state of emergency was declared in a ladies branch of a bank in the Eastern Province when the alarm sound early one morning before the employees arrived, Al-Hayat newspaper reported. Police surrounded the branch and after intensive search, they found out that a small rat had triggered the alarm system. The alarm woke up the entire neighborhood and people were convinced a robbery was taking place.
