JEDDAH, 5 August 2005 — The Pakistan Repatriation Council ( PRC ) organized a condolence meeting in Mehran Hotel here for the late King Fahd. It was presided by Shahid Nayeem, president Pakistan Journalists Forum.
Others who spoke included Sardar Rahmat Khan, Naseem Sehar, Abu Farhan Siddiqui, Mahtab Ahmed, Sarfraz Ahmed Khan and Ehsanul Haque.
Naseem Sehar conducted the proceeding. Sardar Rahmat said that late king was great leader of the Muslim World. The tremendous development in the Kingdom during his reign benefited the Saudis and the expatriates alike.
The meeting praised King Fahd’s noble work of expanding the Two Holy Mosques, helping Muslim countries in need and furthering the cause of Islam in the world.
The meeting also prayed for successful reign of King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan.
