JEDDAH, 22 January 2006 — India’s state-run Doordarshan TV channel will feature tonight an interview with Arab News Editor in Chief Khaled Almaeena by India’s well-known broadcast journalist Qurban Ali. The interview will air on DD News at 7 p.m. Saudi time (9:30 p.m. IST).
Almaeena was in the Indian capital New Delhi last week to gauge the mood among Indians about Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah’s visit to the country. He was earlier interviewed by Sahara TV’s Rajiv K. Bajaj, “which went a long way toward explaining to the Indian audience Saudi Arabia’s stand on various issues and the historic reasons behind King Abdullah’s visit to India.”
Almaeena is part of the high-level delegation that is currently accompanying the king on his Asian tour.
