Emirates’ Etisalat Wins ‘Best Network’ Award

ABU DHABI, 16 June 2006 — Emirates Telecommunications Corporation — Etisalat — has won the award for the “Best Network in the Telecommunications Sector”, a part of the Innovation Awards 2006 by ITP’s Network ME magazine. The contenders for the award included leading telecom operators of the region. Etisalat won because of its commitment to provide most state-of-the-art telecom services and solutions, such as 3G, High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA), Next Generation Networks (NGN), Quad-play, as well as the many other services that it has pioneered in the region. Abdulla Al-Mana, general manager of Etisalat’s Dubai region, accepted the award on behalf of the corporation at a ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza, Dubai.
