The untimely death of Tarek Al-Juffali comes as a shock and a source of immense sadness to us all. The son of a family with its roots in the heart of Saudi Arabia, his grandfather, his father Ahmed and his uncle Ali built one of the biggest industrial conglomerates that is the pride of Saudi Arabia.
Much like his father, who also passed away at an early age, Tarek was a kind man who devoted his life to helping others without any publicity.
Although I only knew him briefly, Tarek Al-Juffali struck me as a kind and shy man who avoided the limelight and did more than most people can say to help the youth of his country.
Our condolences go to the family he tragically leaves behind, to his sister Maha, his brothers Waleed and Khaled, and to his mother Suad Al-Juffali, who is living what no parent should ever have to live. Tarek’s wife, who is expecting twins, will painfully miss the presence of a loving husband and father. Tarek’s mother, a noble woman in her own right, who has transformed so many young lives through her charitable works, receives the warmth of all our hearts in grieving the passing of this exceptional son.
