JEDDAH: Almost 150 people benefited from a two-day training workshop on care in the home, which concluded in Jeddah on Thursday.
The Home Health-care Training workshop was a huge success, said Dr. Salem Khalil Al-Dahi, head of the workshop’s scientific committee.
The National Home Healthcare Foundation Western Province in collaboration with the National Guard Health Affairs and the Postgraduate Training Center in Riyadh organized the workshop.
Al-Dahi said home health care is a new concept in the Kingdom. It is a way to ease the pain and suffering of those chronically ill and in need of care at home. “Our ultimate goal is to provide some ease in their lives with comfort and dignity.”
The purpose of the workshop was to train home health-care providers on respiratory therapy, physical therapy, wound management and communication skills.
