Municipality wins lawsuit

The case dates back to 2007 when a claimant filed a case demanding the municipality to pay him SR50 million as the price of the land it confiscated in addition to SR5 million he paid to a lawyer and SR15 million he spent on traveling and his suffering due to the litigation.
Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the municipality, Mazen bin Omar Qattan, said, the municipality provided the court with enough evidence refuting the accusations of the claimant and added the court ruling became final and could not be appealed after it was upheld by the Court of Appeals.
