The parks are located near the Al-Nuzla
Al-Yamaniya, Al-Qurayyat and Al-Thaalba neighborhoods south of Jeddah.
The campaign lasted for two days with the
Jeddah municipality and other local and private institutions participating.
The main aim of the campaign was to spread
awareness among people of the importance of a clean environment.
Campaigners say such an initiative will
eliminate pollution and reflect positively on the parks established by the
municipality, including Faisal Sports Park and Amira Park.
Zakiya
Bundogji, deputy chairwoman of FJP, thanked all those who participated in the
campaign, which is considered the first step toward spreading a message about
the benefits of a clean environment.
She was happy that the majority of residents in
the local neighborhoods had participated in the campaign.
“I thank the people in the neighborhood for
participating. I hope that this campaign will be the first step toward
expanding our message into other neighborhoods,” said Faisal Sports Park
manager Samir Mizjaji.
FJP’s main goal is to establish new parks and
renovate neglected ones for the benefit of local neighborhoods, especially
those with no green spaces.
