Tweeting has gone to the dogs. Mattel’s Puppy Tweets tag is the latest way for dogs to communicate. Just clip the tag to a dog’s collar. Then every time the pooch moves, barks or naps, its behavior is supposed to be detected by the tag, which sends a WiFi signal to a computer where a tweet is generated and sent to the owner. Over 500 phrases are pre-loaded to use as tweets. Due to its size, the tag is only suitable for larger dogs and the device has received mixed reviews. Nevertheless, the Puppy Tweets tag shows how free social networking sites can bring profits when revenue generating ideas are built around them.

Fujifilm’s FinePix REAL 3D W3 digital camera captures stills and movies in True 3D HD with easy playback on 3D HD TV Systems. The camera shoots 3D HD at 720p, with the help of a new RP (Real Photo) Processor. It also sports a new Mini HDMI port for easy playback and an Autostereoscopic 3D Widescreen 3.5” LCD. Fujifilm’s FinePix REAL 3D technology captures true 3D due to its use of twin 10 MegaPixel CCD sensors and dual Fujinon 3x optical zoom lenses (35-105mm) that are spaced 75 mm apart to create realistic images which are similar to how human eyes see them. The synchronized control of the twin CCD sensors releases the left and right shutters at the same time. This technology produces a synchronized image with a natural sense of depth, and allows easy capture of 3D movies and photos in HD.

The slim Nokia X3 Touch and Type smartphone offers a combination of a touch screen and traditional 12 button phone keypad. With two primary inputs, the Nokia X3 allows people to tap quickly on the bright color touch screen, as well as have a full keypad for quick fire text messages and phone calls. “Our research tells us consumers who have invested years in becoming fast one-handed, one-thumb texters, want to maintain their speedy edge for SMS, chat and instant messaging — yet enjoy the benefits of touch as well,” said Moussa Obeid, director, Activities Development at Nokia Saudi Arabia. The Nokia X3 comes in five colors and is jam-packed with features including 3G, WLAN, a music player, an FM radio and a five megapixel camera with 4X digital zoom. A nice accessory for the Nokia X3 is the Nokia Mini Speaker MD-11. Music lovers can boost the Nokia X3’s inbuilt speaker with this pocket-size speaker that offers great audio quality. For even more fun, two MD-11’s can be connected for stereophonic sound.
