On Sunday, the two individuals, one in his 50s and the other in his thirties, were accused by the owner of embezzling SR365,800 from the company over a long period of time,” Jeddah police spokesperson Col. Misfer Al-Juaid said
Al-Juaid said police were given leads on the two individuals by the company’s auditor who reported large sums of money missing.
The younger employee is accused of embezzling SR44,518 from the same company, and is currently been held in Balad police station where he admitted to the crime.
“Companies and business owners are ought to pay extra attention to their business dealing and to those working for them. In the case of these embezzlers they betrayed the trust of their employer, which could have been prevented had there been follow-up checks on the staff,” Al-Juaid said
