"Al-Dossary shot at a police patrol when it tried to stop him for driving in the opposite direction on a one-way track of a road. In the shooting Police Sgt. Saeed bin Yaen Al-Ghamdi was killed. Al-Dossary was later arrested," the statement said.
The execution was delayed until the children of the victim grew up and consented for the beheading, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
