“We have received a lot of requests from women to provide English courses,” said Ameer Ali, chairman of CIGI.
“We are seriously thinking of introducing this program for women as quickly as possible. Right now we are looking for a suitable venue,” he said.
He said the program for men was a success as the participants, including executives and students, have expressed their satisfaction over the six-week course given by teachers from the United States, the UK and Canada at an affordable rate.
The current course, which has 79 students in four different levels, is progressing well, said Rasheed Ameer, a CIGI official. Registration has started for the next course that begins on Jan. 8 at ELS Center at Abdul Latif Plaza along Sitteen Street.
The program includes classroom instruction and practice in all key language skills — speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading and writing.
Two top scoring students will get two free ELS courses worth SR4,800. ELS certificates will be distributed among those who have completed the course at a special function shortly.
Communicative English is the main factor for success and betterment in jobs. For more information contact Ameer on 0504665624.
