Iginla has scored at least 20 goals in 13 of his 14 NHL
seasons. He has the NHL's longest current streak of 20-goal seasons and is in
position to reach 30 for the 10th straight time.
Gordie Howe holds the NHL record for consecutive 20-goal
seasons with 22.
Iginla's unassisted goal gave the Flames a 6-4 lead at 4:20
of the third period. He also had an assist.
David Moss had two goals and an assist, Mikael Backlund,
Brendan Morrison, Alex Tanguay and Olli Jokinen also scored and Henrik Karlsson
made 17 saves for Calgary.
At Sunrise, Florida, Dominic
Moore scored the only shootout goal and Dan Ellis stopped all three Florida
shooters in Tampa Bay's victory.
The goal withstood a video review to determine whether Moore
hit the puck twice while deking Tomas Vokoun.
Ellis made 30 saves in regulation and overtime, then stopped
Mike Santorelli, Michael Frolik and Stephen Weiss before Moore scored on the
Lightning's third attempt.
Steve Downie scored in regulation for Southeast
Division-leading Tampa Bay, which has won three in a row.
Cory Stillman scored for the Panthers.
At Buffalo, New York, Michael Grabner
scored twice, and rookie goalies Nathan Lawson and Kevin Poulin combined to
stop 36 shots for New York.
Matt Moulson, Jack Hillen and P.A. Parenteau also scored in
the game the Islanders led 4-0 before Buffalo's Nathan Gerbe scored goals 5
seconds apart late in the third period.
Gerbe set a franchise record for the fastest goals by one
player. His first goal, on a backhander from the right circle, came with 3:22
left. He then scored on a wrist shot.
The 5-second span matched Pete Mahovlich for the
third-fastest goals by a player in NHL history. Mahovlich did for Montreal in
1971. The record is 4 seconds, set by the Montreal Maroons' Nels Stewart in
1931 and matched by Winnipeg's Deron Quint in 1995.
At Ottawa, Tomas Plekanec scored
twice and Max Pacioretty, and Andrei Kostitsyn each had a goal and an assist in
Montreal's victory over Ottawa.
Benoit Pouliot, Brian Gionta and P.K. Subban also scored and
Carey Price made 33 saves to help the Canadiens improve to 7-1-2 in their last
10 games. Chris Kelly scored for Ottawa. The Senators are 0-4-1 in their last
five and have lost six in a row at home.
