Barclays said on Tuesday that it is acquiring 1.15 million credit card accounts with 2.3 billion pounds ($3.75 billion) of gross receivables.
Barclays says the acquisition will be folded into its existing Barclaycard business.
Barclays says it bought the credit card business at a significant discount from the receivables, but the price was not disclosed.
