The group visited Effat University and sat with Saudi businesswomen in a dinner at the Consul General of Switzerland Hans Stalder’s house on Saturday.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Diana Segantini from Segantini Unlimited said that they are here to have a dialogue with young women.
“The ladies have open minds, and are energetic and willing to travel and find about new cultures, they also have good business ideas,” said Segantini.
The group she added want to “build bridges, have a better dialogue about the different cultures and present the uniqueness of the Swiss culture and what it can offer in terms of health care, sport, school, and shopping experiences.”
The tour will also visit other GCC countries, Brazil, China and India.
Asked if they will include any other programs other than tourism, such as human rights, Segantini said: “We wanted to start with a dialogue, we want to address something that is not controversial, that all women agree on that is family, education, health care and tourism. We don’t exclude other topics that can be discussed in coming years.”
