"With our great tradition of treating and rehabilitating international patients, we are keen to reach agreements with local hospitals," Gregor Frei, managing director of Swiss Health and leader of a Swiss health care delegation, told Arab News on the sidelines of a reception hosted at the residence of Swiss Consul General Hans Stalder on Tuesday night.Switzerland is the land of research, outstanding service and hospitality, as well as the land of first-class medicine, Frei said, adding that once agreements are reached with local hospitals there can be regular programs under which local patients are sent to Swiss hospitals for specialized treatment, especially surgery and rehabilitation. "We are also looking forward to exchange of doctors and specialists between the two countries," he added.Swiss Health, established in October 2010, is an association that has 40 member-hospitals and is the representative for leading Swiss hospitals and clinics, which are committed to providing maximum treatment and care to international patients. The quality of high-end Swiss medical care together with its state-of-the-art medical infrastructure forms the foundation for an international outstanding performance record, he added.The delegation, which had a meeting at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday morning, emphasized that the hospitals and clinics recommended by Swiss Health cover a complete range of disease patterns."With the prospective deals with local hospitals, Swiss Health will provide patients and their referring physicians with a choice of the most suitable hospitals, clinics and outpatient centers," said Frie. The delegation included Dieter Baumgartner, managing director of LucereneHealth, Luzerne, and Reto Falk, member of the management team of Alta Aesthetica, Basel.Clinic Lemanic in Lausanne (skin and beauty), Sonnenhof Hospitals Bernei, Swiss Paraplegic Centre based in Nottwil, Unversity Children's Hospital of Basel, Premium Clinic Alta Aesthetic in Basel/Rheinfelden, Bodensee Implant Center (Dental) on Lake Constance, Hirslanden Private Hospital Group with 14 hospitals across Switzerland, Grand Resort Bad Ragaz Medical Health Center, Balgrist University Hospital in Zurich, Clinique Generale-Beaulieu in Geneva and Hochgebirgklinik Davos are among the specialist health care centers that offer the latest treatments in various specialties, he added.
