Speaking on his return home Sunday after Pakistan's 3-2 victory against West Indies in the one-day series, Afridi said he was unhappy with interference in team affairs.
“I feel everyone should do his job and need not interfere in other's work,” Afridi said, without mentioning anyone by name.
The PCB said in a statement Monday that Afridi has violated its code of conduct and “appropriate action will be taken after the submission of the tour report at the conclusion of the (West Indies) tour.” Pakistan won the first three one-dayers against West Indies, but lost the remaining two including a 10-wicket defeat in the final ODI. Pakistan's test team is preparing for a two-match series, the first beginning May 12.

The city where Osama Bin Laden was killed will host a one-day cricket match between Afghanistan and Pakistan's second-string team.
The Pakistan Cricket Board says the one-dayer will be played in Abbottabad on May 29.
Afghanistan will be the first foreign cricket team to tour Pakistan since gunmen attacked the Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore in 2009 and killed six police officials and a van driver.
The PCB finalized the three-match, one-day series last week after meeting with Afghanistan Cricket Board officials, but only revealed the itinerary on Monday.
Faisalabad will host the lone day-night match on May 25, while Rawalpindi (May 27) and Abbottabad will organize the remaining two matches.
