Collmenter (2-0) struck out three, walked none and retired his final 11 batters after giving up Billingsley’s one-out double in the third. The Diamondbacks got only one hit the entire game while snapping a five-game skid in which each loss was by a one-run margin.
Stephen Drew led off the second inning with a double, and Billingsley (2-3) tried to pick him off. But shortstop Jamey Carroll failed to cover the bag and the ball rolled into center field as Drew barely beat Matt Kemp’s throw to third.
Marlins 1 Nationals 0: In Washington, Anibal Sanchez allowed just three hits in eight innings, and Mike Stanton hit a long home run — his seventh of the season — to lead the Marlins.
Sanchez (3-1) struck out nine and walked two. He improved to 7-0 lifetime against the Nationals with a 1.99 ERA, and the Marlins won their eighth straight at Washington.
Marlins closer Leo Nunez gave up a walk and a single to start the ninth, then escaped the first-and-second jam for his 14th save in 14 chances.
Livan Hernandez (3-5) matched Sanchez for six innings before taking his third straight loss.
Braves 5 Phillies 3: In Atlanta, Martin Prado homered and drove in three runs, and Jair Jurrjens beat the Phillies for the second time in a week after taking a perfect game into the sixth inning.
Jurrjens (5-0) gave up three hits and three runs, two earned, in 7 1-3 innings. He has not allowed more than two earned runs in six starts.
Prado and Nate McLouth hit back-to-back homers in the first inning for the only runs allowed by Joe Blanton (1-2) in five innings.
Craig Kimbrel pitched the ninth for his ninth save.
Padres 9 Rockies 7: In Denver, Brad Hawpe hit a two-run homer with two outs in the ninth inning to complete a six-run comeback and give the Padres a win against his former team.
Hawpe connected off Huston Street (0-1) for his second home run of the season. The former All-Star outfielder began his major league career with the Rockies in 2004.
The Padres got 4 2-3 hitless innings from their bullpen, including Mike Adams (2-0), who pitched the eighth. Heath Bell earned his ninth save in 10 chances and career save No. 100.
Astros 7 Mets 3: In Houston, Carlos Lee delivered his 2,000th hit with an RBI single during a four-run first inning, then hit one of Houston’s three homers against the Mets.
J.A. Happ (3-4) pitched six innings for the win, scattering five hits and three walks, as the Mets had their three-game winning streak come to an end.
nuckleball pitcher R.A. Dickey (1-5) allowed six hits in the first inning, then held the Astros in check until the sixth, when Hall and pinch hitter Matt Downs hit solo homers. It was Downs’ first career pinch hit home run.
Reds 7 Cardinals 3: In Cincinnati, Johnny Cueto took a shutout into the eighth inning, and Ramon Hernandez hit solo homers on each of the first two pitches he saw for the Reds.
Brandon Phillips drove in three runs for the Reds, who moved into first place alone for the first time since April 18. Cueto (2-0) didn’t allow a Cardinal to reach second base until Matt Holliday doubled in the seventh.
Brewers 8 Pirates 2: In Milwaukee, Prince Fielder , Brandon Boggs and Ryan Braun each hit solo home runs as the Brewers beat the Pirates for the eighth straight time overarll.
Milwaukee also has won eight in a row against the Pirates at Miller Park.
Fielder and Boggs homered in the fourth inning off Jeff Karstens (2-2). The Brewers scored five times in the seventh and Braun hit his 11th homer in the eighth.
Chris Narveson (2-3) ended his three-game losing streak. He gave up one run and four hits in six innings.
Giants 3 Cubs 0, 6 innings: In Chicago, Ryan Vogelsong pitched six scoreless innings in a rain-shortened game for his first career shutout and Buster Posey hit an RBI single to lead San Francisco.
Vogelsong (3-0) allowed seven hits and struck out seven in his first complete game. He was also helped by two double plays as the Cubs left eight runners on.
Doug Davis (0-1) pitched five innings in his season debut and allowed three runs — one earned — and four hits. He struck out six and walked one, and was hurt by three errors.
