The foundation is chaired by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and vice chaired by his wife Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel.
The aim and purpose of Sanad is to provide financial, physical and moral support to cancer centers for children in the Kingdom.
Sanad also assists children and their families by providing direct services for the duration of treatment, including accommodation, transport and training. Furthermore, it provides awareness programs to children and their families about cancer and how to cope with it medically and emotionally.
The society seeks to raise awareness within the community about cancer and its factors, as well as the importance of early detection.
Sanad also encourages child cancer studies and research and conducts training programs and workshops to enhance its workers’ performance in the field. The society aims to integrate cancer patients and their families socially. and to coordinate such integration efforts with the government and private sectors.
