Police say it is too early to say if the blast was the result of a terror attack.
The explosion shattered windows Saturday night in the reception area of the private hospital in Agra, where the Taj Mahal monument is located.
Police have cordoned off the area and are investigating.
Last week a briefcase bomb left outside a New Delhi courthouse killed 12 people.
