King appoints Mawhiba's board of trustees

King Abdullah will be chairman of the board while Education Minister Prince Faisal bin Abdullah is its deputy chairman. The new trust members include Prince Khaled bin Abdullah, Health Minister Abdullah Al-Rabeeah and Higher Education Minister Khaled Al-Anqari.
Other members include the chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology; the chairman of King Abdullah City for Nuclear and Renewable Energy; the president of King Abdulaziz City of Science and Technology; the secretary-general of Mawhiba; Khaled bin Muhammad Al-Suleiman; the CEO of SABIC; the president of Saudi Aramco; the director general of the National Center for Assessment; Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al-Shuwaier and Ibrahim bin Ali Alawi. The new executive committee is chaired by Prince Faisal bin Abdullah.
Its members include Prince Bandar bin Abdullah Al-Mashari, the president of King Abdulaziz City of Science and Technology, the secretary-general of Mawhiba, Khaled Al-Suleiman, Ibrahim Alawi and Osama Maajini.
Education Minister Prince Faisal thanked King Abdullah for appointing the new board of trustees and executive committee and for his support to the organization in order to develop the capabilities of talented young Saudi men and women.
He also thanked the king for his support to realize Mawhiba Vision 1444H, which aims at making Saudi Arabia a creative society with young leaders and talents possessing good education and training, and supporting the Kingdom’s efforts to become a knowledge-based society.
Prince Faisal said the formation of the new board of trustees and executive committee would strengthen the organization to carry out its mission in the best form and enable the Saudi society to meet future challenges with self-confidence.
Mawhiba is a non-profit national cultural organization, which was established at the initiative of King Abdullah to explore and develop the capabilities of talented people in the country by carrying out a variety of educational and training programs.
