Osama Shubokshi, Saudi ambassador to Germany, opened the Kingdom’s pavilion at Hannover Messe.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao jointly earlier opened the trade fair.
Several political and business leaders as well as official delegations from various parts of the world attended the opening ceremony.
The Kingdom’s pavilion showcased products of leading Saudi companies, including SABIC, National Industrialization Company (Tasnee), and Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh).
More than 6500 companies and business organizations from 65 countries, including Saudi Arabia, are displaying their products in the fair, which will conclude on April 27.
These companies represent mainly the sectors of energy, industrial technology, digital industry, environment technology, supplies, power generation technology, and industrial research and development.
More than 230,000 businessmen, industrialists and decision makers in various industrial fields are expected to attend the economic forum to be held on the sidelines of the fair.
The Kingdom’s participation in the fair helps it to market its potential investment opportunities in front of the global business community.
It also provides an opportunity for business giants such as SABIC and Tasnee to expand their trade links with a wide range of international customers.
