Alliance in Motion makes move in FTBJ-ICBL 33rd tourney

Alliance in Motion Global made a big move toward a legitimate championship run by winning a Team of the Week and ladies Bowler of the Week double during the 14th session in the FTBJ-ICBL 33rd Conference bowling tournament at Jeddah Lanes here.
With a top tally of 41 points Alliance passed struggling Boleros at second place in the team standings.
Michelle Mata completed an Alliance double with her second Bowler of the Week plum in the competition that saw Paradise Brand untouch at No. 1 despite a modest haul of 23 points.
Sky Freight Forwarders was the second best on the day on 36 points followed by Lance & 3rdy and Taurus RDLR on 33 and 32 points, respectively.
Lucky Strike pooled 27 points with GM Pin Pals a point behind Paradise on 22. MJ Bowlers gathered 17 points, and the last three teams to check in were Hidada Ltd. 14, Boleros 10 and D’ Barkads 9.
Lance’s Nonie Yap emerged the men’s Bowler of the Week after shooting the high series of 662 on scratch lines of 235, 218 and 209.
Mata, a second generation FTBJ member, shot 635 (178, 188, 191) at the vanguard of Alliance charge that contained 602 and 586 from the duo of Randy Mata and Grace Funtillon as well as 224-189 from Bonnie Garcia, 184-167 from Cris Villavelez and 205-212 from Richard Antonio.
Oca Bernabe and Rene Santiago delivered the lethal blows for Sky Freight on 644 and 594. Ellen Bernabe added 585, Grace Dasas had 542, Goying Salazar tallied 193-255 and Atoi Cruz made 184.
Ding Dela Rosa and Aisah Silabay carded 577 and 576 in support of Yap at Lance with Evelyn Santoc on 534. June Estefano 176-190 and Wilson Triguero 197 were the other scorers.
Over at Taurus, Alex Flora and Susan Patayan bowled big on 653 and 627. Nap Ppatayan and Tess Marasigan tossed in 557 and 533, while Obie Ycasas came through with 175-201 and Daryl Loquias contributed 159.

FTBJ 2014 Kalayaan Cup
Meantime, the Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah announced the FTBJ 2014 Kalayaan Cup will be held June 13 and 14 at Jeddah Lanes.
The FIQ-style tournament will have the doubles, trio (2 male, 1 female), team (3 male, 2 female), singles and men’s and ladies master’s events.
Thus far, 11 teams including two of Danny Pamintuan from Yanbu have signified their participation, according to organizers.
